Questions from car workshops

Is it possible to assign bookings to mechanics?

Yes. Each mechanic is a provider with their own schedule. Lifts and other work bays are not bookable resources in 4appointments, so track them separately.

Is it possible to estimate how long each job takes?

Yes. Each job type has a duration you set, and the time reserved respects it. You can also add a pause after each booking with the 'Buffer (min)' field.

Will the customer be told when their car is ready?

No. 4appointments sends no 'car ready' notice or any other message to the customer from bookings. Contact the customer through your usual channels.

Can I also take bookings by phone?

Yes. Your team enters phone bookings by hand, and they appear in the same calendar as online requests.
