Booking a doctor’s appointment online
Request a consultation on the clinic’s booking page at any hour; the clinic confirms the request afterwards.
Booking for clients
Booking with a doctor or clinic online spares you the wait on the phone. You choose the type of visit, the doctor and a free timing on the clinic’s own booking page. Your request is pending until the clinic confirms it, so it helps to know how that works.
Open the clinic’s booking link, which it may publish on its website or send you in a message. You will see the clinic’s name and a list of services, each with a duration and, if the clinic has set one, a price. Choose the visit you need, for example a first consultation or a follow-up.
Pick a doctor or “Anyone available”, if the clinic offers it, then choose a date and one of the free timings. The calendar follows each doctor’s own schedule and the clinic’s notice rules, so only bookable slots appear.
Key in your name, an email address if you wish and an optional note. Keep the note short and practical, and avoid sensitive health details. When you send the request, the timing is held for you with the status “pending”. The clinic’s team confirms or rejects it in their panel, and nothing is sent to you automatically.
4appointments sends clients no emails or reminders, so expect the clinic to confirm by phone or message. The final screen shows a link for cancelling or rescheduling; save it, because it is not emailed. If you no longer need the slot, use it so that someone else can have it. A pending request that nobody handles is cancelled by the system about an hour after the requested time, without notice.
Key points
- ✓The booking page is open day and night, but confirmation is done by the clinic’s team
- ✓You choose the service, the doctor and the timing yourself, with no account needed
- ✓The cancel or reschedule link is shown on the final screen only, so save it
Common questions
Can I book an urgent appointment online?+
It depends on the clinic. The page offers only the free timings the clinic has made available, and a request stays pending until someone confirms it. For anything urgent, phone the clinic.
Will I be reminded before the visit?+
Not by 4appointments, which sends no messages to clients. Note the date and timing yourself, and ask the clinic whether it contacts patients ahead of visits. Do not put sensitive medical details in the booking note.
