Payment at booking: what is possible today

On the current plans, 4appointments does not take payment online when an appointment is booked. The public page records the booking request, but the client does not pay there. If you want payment in advance, agree it with the client outside the tool, and be clear about the terms.

What exists and what is not available

The panel has screens for online payments, but the switch that turns them on is not available on the current plans and refuses to activate. There is no card payment, PayNow, PayPal or bank-transfer option built into the booking flow. A booking made on the public page stays pending, and any payment happens on the spot or by a method you agree with the client. Check the pricing page for what each plan includes today. If a client asks whether they can pay online, tell them that option does not exist and say how you prefer to be paid.

  • The public booking form does not ask for payment.
  • No card, PayNow, PayPal or bank-transfer payment is processed by the tool.
  • A service price entered in the panel is not collected online.
  • Taking payment or a deposit is always a separate arrangement with the client.

How to agree payment in advance outside the tool

If your service justifies payment up front, you can do this without relying on any 4appointments feature:

  • Write down the terms: the amount, the deadline and what happens if the client cancels.
  • Contact the client yourself and name the payment method you accept, such as bank transfer, PayNow or payment on the spot.
  • Confirm the booking in the panel only after you have received the money. Confirming sends the client no message, so tell them directly.
  • Keep proof of payment with your records, or leave payment for the visit and say so on your website.

Be careful with the words “deposit” and “advance payment”

In everyday language, a deposit is any amount paid before the service. Legally, the name does not settle everything: a deposit and an advance payment on the price can have different consequences if someone does not perform. Pick one term, use it the same way in your terms and messages, and state in writing what happens to the money if either side does not keep to the arrangement. Pending requests need attention too: a booking that is never confirmed or rejected is cancelled automatically, without notice, about an hour after the requested time has ended. The tool does not issue invoices or receipts, so any document you give the client is your own responsibility. General information, not legal advice; if in doubt, speak to a lawyer.

Common questions

Can I take card payments through 4appointments?

On the current plans, no. The online payments feature is not available and the switch in the panel refuses to activate. If that changes, the pricing page will say so.

Does 4appointments accept card, bank transfer or other local payment methods?

No. The tool does not process any payment. Whichever method you use is agreed directly with the client, outside the tool.

Can I still ask for a deposit?

You can agree an amount in advance directly with the client. Write down whether it is a deposit or an advance on the price, and what happens on cancellation.

How much does 4appointments cost?

Plans cost from 1 € to 8 € a month, after 12 free months with no card needed. See the current prices on the pricing page.

Want to organise your business diary?
