Booking a salon appointment online: how it works

Choose the service and a free time on the salon’s booking page at any hour; the salon then confirms your request.

Booking for clients

Reserving a place at the salon online takes only a few taps on its booking page, with no ringing around. One thing to know first: your request arrives as pending, and the salon confirms it afterwards.

Start from the salon’s booking link, which the salon may share on its website, on social media or in a message. The page shows the salon’s name and logo and a list of services with their duration and price. Choose the treatment you need (cut, colour, manicure, waxing and so on), depending on how the salon has set up its list.

Choose your stylist or the option “Any available person”, which the salon can switch off, then a date that suits you. The calendar lists the free times based on how long the treatment takes, each team member’s working hours and the salon’s notice rules, so a slot that someone else has taken cannot be selected and clashes never arise.

Give your name, an email address if you wish and, optionally, a short note, then send the request. The booking is created as pending: the time is held for you, but a member of the salon’s team still has to confirm or reject it. 4appointments sends clients no confirmation email, so expect the salon to confirm by phone or message.

The final screen shows a link to cancel or reschedule. Save it (a screenshot will do), because it is not emailed to you. Payment is made at the salon: online payment and deposits are not available in the current plans, so any deposit is agreed with the salon directly. A pending request that nobody confirms is cancelled about an hour after the requested time, without notice.

Points to remember

  • ✓No account to create: book as a guest, with an email address if you wish
  • ✓Only free times are shown, so two clients cannot share a slot with the same stylist
  • ✓The link to cancel or reschedule appears on the final screen only, so keep it

Common questions

What should I do if my preferred time is not on offer?+

Try a different day or another stylist, or get in touch with the salon directly. The booking page has no waiting list.

Will I receive a confirmation email?+

Do not count on it. 4appointments does not send confirmation emails or reminders to clients, so keep the link from the final screen and ask the salon how it will confirm. The language of the page also follows the link the salon uses, so ask for the right link if the page opens in another language.
