Booking for clients

Booking online with a doctor or clinic means no more waiting on hold. You choose the visit type, the practitioner and a free time on the practice’s booking page, and the practice confirms your request afterwards.

Go to the practice’s booking page, which you’ll find through a link on their website, their Google Maps listing or a message from reception. Choose the type of visit (first consultation, follow-up and so on) and your preferred doctor, or “Any available person” if the practice offers it.

The calendar lists free times based on each doctor’s roster and the practice’s notice rules. Choose a day and time, then enter your name, an email address if you like and an optional note. Keep the note short and practical, and don’t put sensitive health details in it.

Your request is created as pending and the time is held for you. The practice’s team confirms or rejects it in their panel, and that doesn’t send you anything automatically, so expect the practice to confirm by phone or message.

The final screen shows a link to cancel or reschedule. Save it, because it isn’t emailed. 4appointments doesn’t send reminders either, so note the date yourself. A pending request nobody handles is cancelled quietly about an hour after the requested time.
