How does payment work for appointments?

Online payment isn’t part of the current plans. Payment is arranged between you and your customer.

Payments and confirmed bookings

In 4appointments, payment isn’t taken on the booking page. The panel contains payment screens, but online payment isn’t available in any current plan, so customers pay in whatever way you agree with them. This guide explains what that means in practice.

On the public page, a service shows its name, duration and price. When a customer sends a request, no card details are asked for and nothing is charged. The request is created as pending and holds the time.

Decide how your customers pay and tell them clearly. It may be on arrival, in cash or by card at your own terminal, or by a transfer or e-wallet payment that you arrange with them. The tool plays no part in that payment and doesn’t record it.

If you want payment before the appointment, keep the request pending, contact the customer with your payment details and confirm the booking only after you’ve received the money. A pending request holds its time, so nobody else can take it meanwhile. But keep an eye on the clock: a pending request nobody handles is canceled by the system about an hour after the end of the requested time.

If a customer cancels, any refund is settled directly between you and them, the same way as the original payment. The reports show an estimated revenue per service based on list prices, which is a guide and not a record of payments.

What to remember

  • ✓No card details are taken on the booking page
  • ✓Payment is agreed with the customer outside the tool
  • ✓Refunds are settled directly between you and the customer

Common questions

Can I switch on card payments somewhere in the panel?+

Not today. The option appears in the panel, but online payment isn’t included in any current plan, so it can’t be activated.

Does 4appointments take a commission?+

It handles no payments at all, so there’s nothing to charge a commission on. The plans themselves are described on the pricing page.
