How to book a doctor’s appointment online

Request a consultation on the clinic’s booking page; the clinic confirms the request afterwards.

Booking as a client

Booking a doctor’s appointment online means choosing the type of visit, the doctor and a free time on the clinic’s own booking page, without waiting on the phone. The request you send is pending until the clinic confirms it, so it helps to know how that works.

Open the clinic’s booking link, which it might publish on its website or send you in a message. You’ll see the clinic’s name and a list of services, each with a duration and, if the clinic has set one, a price. Choose the visit you need, such as a first appointment or a follow-up.

Pick a doctor or “Anyone available”, if the clinic offers it. Then choose a date and one of the free times. The calendar follows each doctor’s own schedule and the clinic’s notice rules, so only bookable slots are shown.

Enter your name, an email address if you like and an optional note. Keep the note short and practical, and avoid putting sensitive health details in it. When you send the request, the time is held for you with the status “pending”.

Confirmation is done by the clinic’s team in their panel, and confirming or rejecting doesn’t send you anything automatically. 4appointments sends clients no emails or reminders, so expect the clinic to confirm by phone or text. On the final screen you’ll see a link for cancelling or rescheduling; save it, because it isn’t emailed to you. A pending request nobody handles is cancelled by the system about an hour after the requested time, without notice.

What to remember

  • ✓The booking page is open day and night, but confirmation is done by the clinic’s team
  • ✓You choose the service, the doctor and the time yourself
  • ✓The cancel or reschedule link is shown on the final screen only, so save it

Common questions

Is it possible to book an urgent appointment online?+

That depends on the clinic. The page offers only the free times the clinic has made available, and a request stays pending until someone confirms it. For anything urgent, ring the clinic.

Will I be reminded before the visit?+

Not by 4appointments, which sends no messages to clients. Note the date and time yourself, and ask the clinic whether it contacts patients ahead of visits.
