Online appointment booking for dental practices

Let patients choose a free time and keep procedures and follow-up visits in one calendar.

In dentistry a session cancelled at the last minute is hard to fill, and many treatments need several visits. 4appointments gives patients a booking page where they choose a service and a free time, and the practice sets the duration of each procedure. When a treatment needs repeat visits, your team can create recurring bookings (weekly, every two weeks or every 30 days) in the same calendar.

Why dental practices choose 4appointments

Online booking without phoning
Patients choose a service and a free time when it suits them, from the link to your booking page.
Duration per procedure
Each service has its own duration and price, and the «Buffer (min)» field adds a pause after each booking.
Recurring follow-up visits
When creating a new booking, your team can repeat it weekly, every two weeks or every 30 days. There is no end date to set.
A schedule per dentist
Each dentist has their own weekly schedule, with exceptions and days off, and can have a separate booking link.

Frequently asked questions about online booking

How does the online booking page work?

Each business has a public page with its own link. Customers see the free time slots and request an appointment themselves, at any hour. A new booking comes in as pending and holds the slot until your team confirms it manually; confirmation is not automatic.

Does the system send e-mails to customers?

At present no e-mail is delivered to the customer: no confirmation, no reminder and no notice of a change or cancellation. Your team confirms pending requests and contacts the customer by whatever means it prefers. The link for managing the booking appears on the confirmation screen the customer sees when booking.

Can I sync appointments with Google Calendar or Outlook?

There is no sync with Google Calendar or Outlook. What does exist: subscribing to the ICS link of an external calendar (Google, Outlook, Apple), whose busy events block time slots and are read about every 15 minutes; a one-off import of an .ics file as confirmed bookings; and exporting each team member's calendar through an ICS link. Changes made in Google or Outlook do not change the bookings.

Can customers pay online when they book?

Not on the current plans. Only card payment is foreseen in the code; there is no PayPal, bank transfer or local payment method. Payment is arranged directly with the customer, outside the tool.

Can customers reschedule or cancel on their own?

After booking, the client’s screen shows a management link they can use to cancel or move the booking. Rescheduling checks availability and overlaps, and a pending request stays pending. The booking-page policy can set cancellation and rescheduling cut-offs and a maximum number of reschedules. The link is not sent by e-mail; for bookings created by staff and for recurring series, your team must copy and send the link.
