How to book your car in for a service online

Pick the job and a free time on the workshop’s booking page; the workshop confirms the request afterwards.

Booking for clients

Booking a car service online lets you pick the job (log book service, oil change, repairs, wheel alignment and the like) and a free time from the workshop’s booking page, with no phone queues. The request is pending until the workshop confirms it, usually by phone or message.

Open the workshop’s booking link, which might be on their website, their Google listing or in an SMS from the mechanic. Pick the type of work, such as a roadworthy inspection, oil change, suspension repair or diagnostics. Each job has a duration set by the workshop, and the calendar holds that time.

Choose a mechanic or “Any available person”, then pick a day and a free time. Times come from the workshop’s rosters and the duration of the job, so you can’t take a time the same mechanic already has booked.

Enter your name, an email address if you like and an optional note. The form has no fields for make, model, year or registration, and the workshop’s team may not see the note when they look at the calendar, so give the car’s details and describe the problem when the workshop gets in touch.

Send the request. It’s created as pending and the time is held. The workshop confirms it from its panel, and 4appointments sends no confirmation email or reminder. The final screen has a link to cancel or reschedule, so save it. Payment, and any deposit for parts, is arranged with the workshop directly.

Common questions

Can I choose a particular mechanic?+

Yes, if the workshop has set up its mechanics as separate providers. You can pick one, or choose “Any available person” if that option is switched on.

How will I know how long the job is going to take?+

Each service has a duration the workshop has set, which is the time the calendar blocks. If the work turns out to need longer, the workshop will tell you directly.
