How payment works for appointments

Online payment isn’t part of the current plans; payment is arranged between you and your client.

Payments & firm bookings

In 4appointments, payment isn’t taken on the booking page. The panel contains payment screens, but online payment isn’t available in any current plan, so clients pay in whatever way you agree with them. Here’s what that means in practice.

On the public page a service shows its name, duration and price. When a client sends a request, no card details are asked for and nothing is charged. The request is created as pending and holds the time.

Decide how your clients pay and tell them clearly: on arrival, in cash or by card at your own terminal, or by a transfer you arrange with them. The tool plays no part in that payment and doesn’t record it.

If you want payment before the appointment, keep the request pending, contact the client with your payment details and confirm only once the money has arrived. A pending request holds its time, but it’s cancelled by the system about an hour after the requested time ends, so don’t leave it waiting too long.

If a client cancels, any refund is settled directly between you and them. The reports show an estimated revenue per service based on list prices, which is a guide and not a record of payments.

Common questions

Can I switch on card payments somewhere in the panel?+

Not today. The option appears in the panel, but online payment isn’t included in any current plan, so it can’t be activated.

Does 4appointments take a commission on payments?+

It handles no payments at all, so there’s nothing to charge a commission on. The plans themselves are described on the pricing page.
