How to book your car in for a service online
Choose the job and a free time on the workshop’s booking page; the workshop confirms the request afterwards.
Booking as a client
Booking a car service online lets you choose the job and a free time from the workshop’s booking page, with no phone queue. The request is pending until the workshop confirms it, and the workshop will usually get in touch by phone or text.
Open the workshop’s booking link, which could be on their website or in a text from the mechanic. The page lists the workshop’s services, each with its own duration and price. Choose the job you need, such as a service, an oil change or diagnostics, depending on what the workshop has listed.
Pick a mechanic or “Anyone available”, then choose a day and a free time. The system works out free times from the workshop’s schedules and the duration of the job, so you can’t take a time the same mechanic already has booked.
Enter your name, an email address if you like and an optional note. The form has no fields for make, model or number plate, and the note may not be seen by the team when they look at the calendar, so give those details and describe the problem when the workshop contacts you.
Send the request. The booking is created as pending and the time is held. The workshop confirms it from its panel; 4appointments sends no confirmation email or reminder, and the final screen shows a link to cancel or reschedule that you should save. Payment and any deposit for parts are arranged with the workshop directly, since online payment isn’t available in the current plans. If your car needs to be there on a particular day, ring first: an unconfirmed request is cancelled about an hour after the requested time.

Common questions
Can I choose a particular mechanic?+
Yes, if the workshop has set its mechanics up as separate providers. You can pick one, or choose “Anyone available” if that option is switched on.
How will I know how long the job will take?+
Each service has a duration set by the workshop, which is the time the calendar blocks. If the work turns out to need more, the workshop will tell you directly.
