How to set up your appointment time slots
Set the weekly schedule, each service’s duration and the notice rules; clients then see only real free times.
Calendar and availability
Time slots are the first thing to sort out after creating your account. You define when each provider can be booked and how long each service lasts, and the public page shows clients the free times that follow from this.
Under “Availability” you add rules for each provider: a day of the week, a start time and an end time, marked as available or blocked. You can add several rules for the same day, which is also how you leave a gap for a break, and vary the schedule from day to day, such as a shorter Saturday.
Each service has a name, a duration, a price and a currency. The duration is the time a booking blocks in the calendar. In the service settings you can also add a pause labelled “Interval (min)”, which is kept free after bookings, for example for tidying up or preparation.
The rules for the whole public page include a minimum notice and a maximum horizon. The defaults are 120 minutes and 60 days, and both can be changed for the page and also separately for each service, so a long treatment can require more notice than a quick one. A provider can also have a limit on appointments per day, which stops further bookings once it’s reached.
When you create a booking yourself in the bookings section, the system checks the provider’s availability and overlaps, but it ignores the pause and the notice rules, which makes it handy for requests that come by phone.
What to remember
- ✓Weekly rules per provider, with several time ranges per day
- ✓Service duration decides how much time a booking blocks
- ✓Pause after bookings, plus minimum notice and maximum horizon
Common questions
Is it possible to offer one service in different lengths?+
Yes, by creating separate services, for example a 30-minute and a 60-minute version, each with its own name, duration and price.
Can I take appointments outside my usual hours?+
Bookings you create yourself still check the provider’s availability. For an out-of-hours request, first add an exception or extend the hours for that day, then create the booking.
