How do you reschedule a booking online?

Booking as a client

Rescheduling a booking made on a 4appointments page works like cancelling: you open the management link shown when you booked and choose a new time from the business’s free slots.

Find the management link from your original booking. It appeared on the confirmation screen at the end of the booking and wasn’t sent by email. If you can’t find it, ask the business for it. For bookings entered by the business’s own team, they have to copy and send you the link themselves.

Open the link and choose the option to change the time. The page shows free times for the same service, and the system checks availability and overlaps before accepting a new one, so you can only move to a time that’s really free.

Confirm the new time. The old slot is released in the diary and can be booked by others. If your booking was still pending, it stays pending after the move and the business still has to confirm it. Nothing is emailed to you, so check with the business that it has seen the change.

The tool sets no limit on how often you can reschedule and no minimum notice for it. Any rule about changing at the last minute is the business’s own, and it will tell you directly. If you were asked to pay something in advance, that’s arranged outside the tool, as online payment isn’t available in the current plans, so ask whether it carries over to the new time.
