How can a beauty salon take bookings online?

A calendar for every stylist or therapist, services with set durations and one link for your social media bio.

Guides by type of business

A beauty salon has services of different lengths, several specialists working at once and clients who book at all hours. 4appointments gives you a public booking page and a calendar per provider. It’s a scheduling tool: you confirm each request yourself, and payment and client messages are handled outside it.

Add each specialist (stylist, nail technician, beauty therapist) as a provider with their own weekly schedule. Use Availability for exceptions, days off and blocks, and set a daily cap if a person shouldn’t take more than a certain number of bookings. Then create your services with name, duration and price, for example a cut, colour or manicure, and use the pause field to leave time after a booking for tidying up and preparation. Every service is shown for every provider, so name them clearly and tell clients by phone if a certain person doesn’t offer one.

Copy the public link of the salon, or the separate link of a single specialist, and put it in your Instagram bio, on your Facebook page, on your website and in your messages. Clients book at any hour without an account. The page shows your salon’s name, logo and colour, and the option “Any available person” lets the client skip choosing someone.

Each request arrives as pending and holds the slot. Confirm or reject it in the Bookings section, then tell the client yourself by phone or message, as the tool sends no confirmation. Pending requests nobody handles are cancelled quietly about an hour after their time ends.

If you want a deposit for longer or pricier services such as colour or extensions, arrange it outside the tool and confirm only once you’ve received it. Clients can cancel or reschedule with the link on their final screen, so remind them to keep it.

  • ✓A separate calendar and weekly schedule for every specialist
  • ✓One link for the salon and one link for each person
  • ✓Each request is confirmed by you, and the client is told through your own channel

Common questions

Is it possible to show photos of my work on the booking page?+

Not at present. The page shows your salon’s name, logo and colour, plus the list of services. Share your photos on your website or social media instead.

Will clients be able to see ratings for specialists?+

No, the booking page has no ratings or reviews. Reviews stay on the platforms where you already collect them.
