How to set days off and breaks in the calendar

Block days off and breaks once — the system automatically excludes them from the available slots.

Calendar & availability

Days off, public holidays and daily breaks are set up once in the system and are automatically excluded from the calendar clients can book from.

In the availability settings, you mark vacation or closure days as “unavailable”. You can set one-off blocks (a specific day), recurring blocks (every Saturday afternoon) or blocks for extended periods (vacation 1–15 August).

Public holidays can be added manually or, in some systems, imported automatically from the national calendar. Once added, they no longer appear in the calendar as available days.

Daily breaks (lunch, rest breaks) are configured separately from day blocks. For example, you can set a daily 13:00–14:00 break that repeats automatically on every working day.

Employees can manage their own absences and vacations independently from their profile, without affecting colleagues’ calendars. The manager sees all absences in one place.

De reținut

  • Blocks apply instantly — no client can book during that period
  • You can set recurring blocks for daily breaks
  • Employee vacations are managed individually

Frequently asked questions

Can I notify existing clients if I close temporarily?+

You can export the list of clients with appointments during that period and contact them manually or via an email campaign. Some systems send automatic notifications on bulk cancellation.

How do I handle a partly free day (morning off, afternoon open)?+

You block the morning slot specifically as unavailable. The system shows the client only the afternoon slots as available.
