How to manage employee availability in a booking system

Each employee has their own working schedule — the system automatically calculates when they’re available.

Managing employee availability means configuring each person’s individual schedule so the system shows clients only the slots when the chosen specialist is genuinely free.

For each employee you set a specific working schedule: working days, start and end times, and any variations by day (e.g. they work until 20:00 on Tuesdays and Fridays, until 17:00 on other days). The employee’s schedule overlaps with the general business schedule.

One-off absences (a day off, sick leave, training) are marked manually by you or by the employee from their own profile. The system immediately blocks those slots.

If you enable automatic assignment, the system distributes new bookings among the available employees based on availability or in a round-robin cycle. You can set priorities or service-specific skills.

A client who selects “any available specialist” is automatically assigned to whoever is free in the chosen slot. A client who prefers a specific specialist sees only that specialist’s availability.
