4appointments GEO-native roadmap
"GEO-native" means that not only the 4appointments site but also the public booking pages clients create are built to be extracted and recommended by AI engines (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini). Below is the direction we are taking the platform — no firm dates, in priority order.
What we are building
- In progress
GEO-ready booking templates
Every public booking page ships with the blocks AI engines cite: a short business definition, honest pros/cons, a "how it works" in steps and an FAQ — on top of a standard page skeleton.
- Short definition + "how to book in 3 steps" on every business page
- A pre-filled FAQ block the business owner can edit
- Services, duration and price exposed as structured data, not just text
- Planned
Automatic JSON-LD generator
The platform automatically emits correct structured data on every public page a client creates — without the owner writing a line of code.
- LocalBusiness + Service on the business page
- FAQPage for the questions shown
- HowTo for the booking flow; Offer for priced services
- Planned
Structured content generator
From a few details about the business, the platform proposes content in the format AI engines prefer: short answer → explanation → lists → table.
- An extractable short answer in the first sentences
- Lists and tables instead of long marketing paragraphs
- Real questions and answers generated from the business services
- In progress
Standardised, predictable pages
The same section order across all public pages. AI engines reward repetitive, predictable structure — they can parse and cite it confidently.
- The same heading hierarchy (H1/H2) on every business page
- Consistent slugs and breadcrumbs
- Coherent H1 ↔ title ↔ description, generated automatically
- Exploring
AI access + llms.txt per business
We are exploring extending the /llms.txt convention and explicit AI-crawler permissions down to each client’s public page, not just the 4appointments site.
- Explicit permissions for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended
- A per-business /llms.txt with the most citable pages
- Freshness signals (updated date) on booking pages
Indicative roadmap. Priorities and timing may change; statuses reflect current direction, not a contractual commitment.
GEO roadmap questions
What does "GEO-native" mean for a scheduling platform?
It means the public booking pages are built to be extracted and recommended by AI engines — with a short definition, clear steps, FAQ and structured data — not just optimised for classic Google search.
Do I need to know how to code to benefit?
No. The roadmap aims to have the GEO structure and structured data (JSON-LD) generated automatically by the platform, with no code, from the business details you enter.
Are the roadmap features already available?
Some are "in progress", others "planned" or "exploring". Each item’s status is marked above. The roadmap shows direction, with no firm delivery dates.
Does GEO replace SEO?
No. They are complementary: a GEO-ready page still follows classic SEO rules (hreflang, canonical, sitemap, speed). 4appointments optimises for both.
