Automatic reminders are one of the simplest and most effective tools: you set the timing and text once, and the system sends them automatically for every appointment, with no manual work.
In your 4appointments account notification settings, you enable the “Reminders” section. You choose how many hours or days before the appointment the reminder is sent — common options are 24h, 48h, 2h or combinations (e.g. 48h + 2h).
You select the channel: email, SMS or both. SMS has a far higher open rate (>95%) than email (~25%) but may involve extra costs. Recommended: enable both.
You customise the reminder text with the appointment details (day, time, service, address) and add any special instructions (what to bring, where to park, how to get there, etc.). You can also include an attendance-confirmation or cancellation link.
Once configured, the reminder works automatically for any new appointment — and for existing upcoming ones. You never send another message by hand.
